Question 1

What is WebPhone?

Accepted Answer

WebPhone is a personal web-app launcher: a home screen, drawer and search for every app you use, wrapped in a fast, installable PWA.

Question 2

How do I install it on my phone?

Accepted Answer

Open the site in your mobile browser and choose "Add to Home Screen" when prompted, or use the install button in Settings.

Question 3

Can I change the theme and wallpaper?

Accepted Answer

Yes — Settings has theme presets, gradient wallpapers, custom uploads and full typography controls.

Question 4

Do I need to create an account?

Accepted Answer

No — you can use the launcher as a guest with preferences saved on this device. Create an account only if you want them to follow you across devices.

Question 5

How do notifications work?

Accepted Answer

WebPhone uses self-hosted web push, so notifications come directly from this site with no third-party notification service involved.

Question 6

What happens if an app I use gets removed?

Accepted Answer

It's simply unpublished from the drawer; your favorites and history for it are kept in case it returns.

Question 7

Will it work offline?

Accepted Answer

The home screen shell, your theme and previously loaded app metadata are cached for offline use. External apps still need their own connectivity.

Question 8

Who can I contact for support?

Accepted Answer

Use the contact link in the footer of any page — every request reaches a real person, not a bot.

Question 9

Can I rearrange my apps?

Accepted Answer

Yes — drag and drop on desktop, or long-press and drag on mobile. Your layout is saved automatically.

Question 10

Is my data sold or shared?

Accepted Answer

No. Analytics are used only to improve app ranking and search relevance, and personal data is never sold.
