Consuming Any Webhook Without Writing a Line of Code
Most webhook integrations fail not because the code is hard, but because nobody looked at the raw payload before building against it. Capturing a few real events first — before building any mapping — avoids most of the guesswork.
Once you can see the actual field names and nesting, mapping them to message tags is mechanical: pick a field, give it a tag name, use the tag in a template. The part worth being careful about is optional fields — a payload that's present on 95% of events but missing on the rest will break a naive mapping the first time it's absent.
Treat every mapped field as optional in your templates by default, and only assume a field is always present once you've seen enough real traffic to be confident.
