DLT Registration for SMS Senders, Explained

The Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) framework exists to cut spam SMS by requiring every commercial sender to register as an entity with a telecom operator, then register each message template before it can be sent.

Entity registration is a one-time step tied to your business PAN/GST. Template registration happens per message format, and templates are matched against the actual message content at send time — a mismatch, even a small wording change, causes silent delivery failure.

The practical workflow is: register the entity once, register every template variant you expect to need up front, and treat template IDs as fixed contracts your systems reference rather than free text you edit casually later.
